ITZY's Chaeryeong: Quirky to Chic

Chaeryeong of ITZY, who had a busy year with the mini album ‘Girls Will Be Girls’ in June and the album ‘TUNNEL VISION’ in November, revealed a pictorial and interview in the January issue of <Singles>.

In the released pictorial, Chaeryeong showcased a more diverse charm, freely moving between quirky and lively looks to a chic atmosphere, different from her intense performances on stage.

In the subsequent interview, Chaeryeong revealed that she has less fear of new challenges compared to the past, describing the pictorial shoot as "a motivated project where I can show a special side of myself that isn't usually seen." Regarding the mini album, she mentioned it as a result of contemplating ITZY's identity and challenging new beats and performances, striving to blend into the concept with her unique flair.

Regarding the moment she shed tears when they reached number one on a music show, she recalled, "I felt grateful and sorry as I remembered the efforts fans put in to gift us that number one." She also explained about ITZY's teamwork as they enter their 7th year, "We've become stronger through honest conversations and feedback with the members."

When asked about future challenges, she expressed her desire to expand into various fields such as songwriting, composing, vocals, acting, and variety shows, stating, "If given the opportunity to pursue a solo career, I want to challenge a concept that best showcases 'Chaeryeong' herself, especially a stage where my dance lines stand out."

Finally, Chaeryeong conveyed her deep affection for the fans 'MIDZY', her members, and family, saying, "I want to write the second chapter of ITZY with even more love." She also expressed her wish to "not miss out on the fun and happiness of every moment, rather than just chasing results over the process."
